Anger causes distance and unhappiness. It can
damage the positive connections in our relationships at home and at work. Effective anger management skills
can make a big difference.
During
14 years of clinical experience, I've developed a skill-based approach. My aim is to help my clients manage
and express feelings more effectively, while helping them to address and move towards a resolution of the deeper
issues that feed the anger-response.
In the course of this therapy, I will help you:
- Identify your anger-triggers.
- Break down your anger-response into it’s
parts:
- The
physiological.
- The
emotional.
- The cognitive (thoughts and
self-talk).
- The behavioral (what you say
and do).
- Explore
relationship and life-style enhancing alternatives, including stress
management work and communication coaching.
- Determine
and address the underlying causes.
- Genetic or family traits.
- Environmental:
recent, as well as childhood stressors or traumas.
This counseling will be about improving your relational quality
of life at work, in your marriage and with your children.
